Why is the iPhone screen XR is not as bad as they say

In 2010 Apple released the first smartphone with Retina display. In those days it was a real breakthrough, and competitors for a long time was not able to launch the phone with a matrix of similar quality. Due to the high density of 326 pixels per inch, any images, video or text looked perfect. The assurances of Steve jobs, that is the standard density consistent with the resolution of the human eye. Although it was not the truth, it was pretty close to the truth. And now, 8 years later, Apple shows the world iPhone XR, the screen which was immediately criticized by users due to the low resolution, despite the fact that the effect of the Retina were preserved. So what has changed during this time?

According to experts, today for the LCD-matrix has enough density of 326 pixels per inch. It should be understood that, the IPS will require a lower density for high-definition images, in contrast to the same AMOLED, which uses a structure pixels PenTile Diamond Pixel. Recall that the iPhone is set XR LCD-matrix. The screen resolution is 1792х828, with a diagonal of 6.1 inch.

Of course, the difference between densities of 500 and 300 can be seen even with the naked eye, however, for most users the difference will be so insignificant that not even worth paying any attention. And definitely that’s not worth the sacrifices that will have to go to the owner of the smartphone with a higher pixel density. Because as you know, the high resolution of the display directly affects the performance and autonomy of the device.

However, early reviews of the smartphone have shown that the iPhone screen XR is really good, and not inferior to more expensive and premium models of the iPhone. This means that all the fears with regards to low image resolution or image quality of the display was groundless and was based only on guesses.
