Twitter-client “Talon” is now Open Source

Talon is quite a popular Twitterclient. But the fate of third-party customers is currently unclear. Twitter tries to limit its API. Previously, we wrote about the factthat for 19 Jun third-party clients will no longer receive Push notifications, automatic updating of the tape also lost. The reason for that is another limitation of Twitter API. Against this background, the publication of the source code on GitHub Talon looks more of a desire to finally share their work with everyone.

The transition of applications to the status of Open Source as stated by the developer in his blog:

Today I make the next step. The first version of the Talon has been in the status of Open Source, and now I’m happy to announce that version of Talon with Material Design also goes into the status of Open Source:

Normal users in such a step will not find anything new. Talon will still be available in Google Play. However for developers, this news is quite pleasant, because, as a rule, all projects are built based on open source code, and Talon is no exception. According to the developer, he used developments of other programmers when creating the Talon, so this step is a kind of gratitude to the community and wish to help other programmers.
