Then the two childhood friends worked on the version of the programming language BASIC for the Altair 8800 microcomputer. Allen offered to call Microsoft because they are doing software development for the microcomputer. Almost immediately the name was shortened to Microsoft.

In 1979, Microsoft moved from Albuquerque to Bellevue, Washington. It grew up there, gates and Allen. In the same year, bill gates could afford my first personal Porsche 911.
