Thailand will create a system for identifying citizens on the blockbuster

The Ministry of Informatization of Thailand, together with Omise, has begun work on the creation of a national identity and payment service system based on distributed registry technology. The Omise system is intended to be used to prevent network fraud, reduce crime, identify a person in the public services system and quickly conduct online transactions.

Omise founder Jun Hasegawa told on his Twitter that soon all residents of Thailand will be able to appreciate the benefits of blocking technology, which in time will be able to improve everyone's life.

On the principles of the new block-infrastructure Omise so far nothing has been reported. In addition, it is not yet clear how the Omise block infrastructure will address the scaling problem to meet the needs of the identity system. While representatives of the company only noted that the problem is being solved together with the developers of Ethereum.

The parties have not yet announced the launch dates, since the project is at an early stage of development. It is likely that new information will appear closer to the end of the year – then specialists plan to introduce the alpha version of the system.
