Tesla made a major software update for its electric cars

The new version was numbered 9.0 and includes “a full range of features self-control”.

Version 9.0 will be the largest update since the release of 8.0 update in 2016. Elon Musk has announced via Twitter that the update will be available in August and will include “a full range of features self-control”.

This does not mean that the Tesla will become fully Autonomous, most likely the company will begin to roll out new updates as part of a set of Full Self-Driving Capability available for vehicles with Autopilot 2.0.

Remember, for Tesla electric cars with Autopilot 2.0 is available with two options: Enhanced Autopilot for $5000 and Full Self-Driving Capability for $3000. But the company said that the functionality of the autopilot is also dependent on extensive validation and regulatory permits, which may vary under different jurisdictions. In addition, Musk mentioned that the possibility of Tesla autopilot in sets Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability at a certain point will be different.
