Smartphone shipments decreased by 1.8% in the second quarter of 2018

For the first time in seven years, not Samsung or Apple centres and the top ten respectively in the number of smartphone shipments around the world. Although Samsung kept the centre first, Huawei has been in second place instead of the Apple TV.

I have the smartphone vendors shipped a total of 348.0 million smartphones worldwide in the second quarter of 2018, decrease by 1.8% from 348.2 million smartphones in the same period last year.

Among the best five companies namely Samsung, Huawei, Apple TV, Shaw and oppo, Samsung is the least in terms of shipments compared to last year. Where I lost 2% of its market share decline from 22.9 to 20.9%, as it shipped 8.3 million smartphone.

Earned Huawei new rate of 4.8%, growing its market share to 15.8%, surpassing Apple, which lost 0.3%, from 12.1% to 11.8% due to the lack of demand for its phones except for the flagship iPhone X.
