Samsung is preparing its first smartphone based on Android Go

Samsung Electronics is preparing to introduce its first smartphone running Android Go. This is indicated by the results of synthetic test Geekbench. The test confirmed the characteristics of the future smartphone, and the version of the operating system on which it will work.

In the heart of the smartphone is the entry-level processor Exynos 7570 equipped with four cores Cortex-A53 with a clock frequency of 1.43 GHz. The amount of RAM in the spirit of most of the Android devices Go is equal to 1 GB. Given the lightness of the OS, that should be more than enough.

It is expected that the first Android Go smartphone from Samsung will be released under the name Galaxy Core J2, becoming a typical representative of the budget line. The timing of the release of the model, however, are still unknown, but with high probability we can assume that it will be present until the end of may.

Android Go is a lightweight version of the standard Android, designed for installation on devices with RAM exceeding 1-2 GB. Due to a more simple architecture of Android Go provides solutions to even the entry-level a decent level of performance.
