Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 855 — chip for flagship 2019

During the second day of the summit Qualcomm , the manufacturer has officially announced the release of a mobile platform Snapdragon 855. Chip was the most efficient in the market for flagship devices. The platform has got OCTA core processor which consists of three clusters of nuclei Kryo 485: one consists of a core with a frequency of 2.84 GHz, and the other three cores with a frequency of 2.42 GHz, and the third includes four cores with a frequency of 1.8 GHz.

An integral part of the new platform was also Adreno graphics 640, the signal processor Hexagon 690 and Spectra 380 — a separate processor, which is responsible for image processing. As expected, the new Snapdragon X50 modem support 5G is a separate chip: so the platform is Snapdragon 855 only supports LTE networks with data speeds up to 2 Gbit/s, because in its composition is a modem Snapdragon X24.
