Firm Nimbus Data is currently testing a tablet ExaDrive DC100 with a number of selected customers, which is supposed to be the largest SSD in the world; comes with a capacity of 100 terabytes, and is supposed to be available for purchase this summer.

The company explained that the tablet ExaDrive DC100 will use memory 3D NAND flash, which can provide a sufficient capacity to store 20000 movie in high resolution quality or 20 million songs, as it is able to read and write data at 500 MB per second.

The company grants a guarantee of 5 years without restrictions, where you can replace the disk at any time during that period if any problem happened.

This drives the huge usually non-existent to the average consumer; however, it provides a glimpse of what to expect in the near future with regard to storage space.
