Huawei followed in the footsteps of Samsung with its Galaxy S10 5G

Let it be for now and not so obvious, but the 5G era began. Because the world of the new generation network is slowly starting to become available to consumers, some manufacturers of smartphones everywhere with this release its own device that is compatible with the 5G. For example, Samsung is already at the finish line with the release of their Galaxy S10 5G, a special version of the flagship Galaxy S10, which has got an improved camera, larger display screen and, of course, support 5G. Meanwhile, LG also has announced LG ThinQ V50-enabled next generation networks. OnePlus, OPPO, Lenovo and ZTE are also preparing device 5G. Of course, the Chinese giant Huawei could not stand aside and joined this race, but not with one but with two of your own devices.

We know that Huawei Mate X, the first folding smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, will ship with support for 5G, but Huawei is also preparing something for those who prefer a more classic form factor: Huawei Mate 20 X 5G. Although prices and release date was not announced, it is known that the device will soon be released on China Unicom. What is even more interesting, the novelty will be slightly different from its “twin”, and this difference lies not only in the presence of modem 5G. A special version of the Huawei Mate 20 X already showed their performance, appearing on video Zing channel Gadget on YouTube.

Huawei Mate 20 X 5G get the same a 7.2-inch OLED-display from Samsung, the same triple main camera (that is, it is the same as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro), same design, same ports, same processor Kirin 980, the same fingerprint scanner and the rest. With the addition of Huawei Balong 5000 5G the phone needed additional space to make room for a new modem and antennas. The battery is now smaller (5000 mAh) than the installed 4G version of Mate 20 X (4200 mAh). However, in order to fill this gap, model 5G added support SuperCharge 2.0 40 watts. Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS, Magic Honor 2 and Huawei P30 Pro is the only device the Huawei and Honor brands that support fast charging 40W.

Unfortunately, there is no clarity about whether the 5G version be sold outside of China, as a 4G version, and all we can do is only wait and hope.
