Fusion Drive soon will support APFS

Presented last year a new file system Apple File System has improved the safety and speed up working with data in iOS and macOS. However, APFS have not yet perfected – for example, the owners of Mac computers with hybrid drives, Fusion Drive still can not take full advantage of new file system. But soon this problem will be solved.

As reports the edition MacRumours, one of the users wrote a letter to Apple in which he asked – will the company add support for APFS drives Fusion Drive. His question was answered by Craig Federighi, senior Vice President, software development.

Most likely, the APFS will work with hybrid drives will be added in macOS 10.14 since beta 10.13.5 doesn’t have this capability.

Recall that the first Apple File System was presented at WWDC developer conference in 2016. The new file system provides improved security and speed compared to HFS+.

  1. I’m not sure exactly why but this website is loading incredibly slow for me

    Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue
    on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still
    exists
