Facebook announced today that the artificial intelligence built-in application Facebook Messenger is now able to translate the messages from Spanish to English. This feature is working in reverse as well so users are able to translate messages from English to Spanish inside the app. The launch of this feature for all users in the United States and Mexico starting today.

Revealed Facebook translation feature for the first time at its annual conference for developers Facebook F8, which was held last month. The police described this feature as another tool to facilitate conversations between buyers and sellers in the Facebook Marketplace. However, the uses of this feature are not limited to just that.

Starting today, users will receive in the United States, Mexico, and a suggestion to ” upgrade to the English / Spanish ” when they receive a message from someone in one of those two languages. When I click on this suggestion, gonna ask them digital assistant whether they wish to activate automatic translation of all messages that they receive from this friend in particular in the future.

Users will be able to disable this feature at any time they want. Will Facebook expand the possibilities of this feature to provide translation for a variety of other languages too, but it will take some time before that happens.
