Audi and Porsche will work together to develop a common platform for electric cars

Porshe and Audi are just two of the brands a lot owned by the German company tradition in the field of the automotive industry, and of course Volkswagen. For example, possess both the Porsche Cayenne and the Macan the same structure used in both the Audi Q7 and Audi Q5, and will continue this cooperation between both companies in the sector of electric cars also. It has now been confirmed that both Porsche and Audi will work on the development of a common platform of the new electric cars.

Revealing all of the Oliver Blume, a general manager of Porsche, and Rupert Stadler of Audi in the interview conducted with them recently that both companies will work together to develop a common platform for electric vehicles which will be used in a new electric car that will reach the market by the year 2021.

The company aims to launch many of the models that use this new product in the year 2021 and beyond. Company expects Audi to create two sedans and sports cars multi-purpose use of this product while the company expects Porsche to create an electric car at least one.

These brands owned by the company Volkswagen with on this project to save money and due to that the product development process for each will be a lot of money. Given that electric cars are the future, they can’t not afford to create a new platform, and will therefore be able to reduce costs by working together. It should be noted that both Porsche and Audi expects that the cost of the development process this group billion less dollars by the year 2025.
