Artificial intelligence and drones will help to monitor the farms at the micro level

Farmers are already using drones to monitor the status of the field and even for watering plants, but no limit to perfection. The company SeeTree invented how to enhance their usefulness — it has created a network that will help farmers to monitor their farm on the microscopic level. In particular, the owners will be able to prevent diseases of trees and increase yields, recognizing in which areas are lacking moisture and other conditions for proper growth with high yield.

To monitor the condition of the plant became possible thanks to the creation of links between unmanned vehicles and sensors placed on the ground. The device will be able to exchange information on soil acidity, the level of illumination of those or other sites, moisture and other indicators that are important for plant health. Subsequently, this information is sent to the platform with artificial intelligence which assesses the condition of the sites and identify problems that need solutions.

For example, artificial intelligence could calculate the yield and to point out the trees that need to be replaced. Based on the number of fruit and their maturity, the system may schedule the harvest. The system has already been tested on the Brazilian citrus plots and helped stop the spread of bacterial disease, coloring fruit in an unhealthy green color. This system is indicated in potentially infected trees and pointed to the area where genuine to spray pesticides.

The founder of the SeeTree Israel Talpaz shared that the composition of the soil and other factors can affect the yield even on small plots. During testing it was discovered many painful clusters of trees, and was also seen areas where strong trees were growing weak.

It is believed that the use of artificial intelligence will dramatically increase farm yields. Also the owners will get rid of unnecessary work and focus only on the work which is guaranteed to bring results.
