Apple released the third beta version of iOS 12.3 and 12.3 tvOS

Apple continues to test updates to proprietary operating systems and new Apple TV Channels, whose release is scheduled for spring 2019. Today, after the required two weeks since the release of the second beta builds of iOS 12.3 and 12.3 tvOS, the company released the third. Both updates are already available to owners of compatible devices with the accounts of the developers. They can be downloaded over the air or from the developer Center on Apple’s official website.

The main innovation iOS 12.3 and 12.3 tvOS is an updated app Apple TV. Now it not only has a modified interface, but also opens the access to the service aggregation Apple TV Channels. The latter includes several streaming services and cable networks, to subscribe to which you can directly through the Apple TV for the eponymous set-top boxes or devices running iOS.

Apple TV Channels

At the time of publication, the ability to test Apple TV Channels fully available only to the participants of the early access program from the United States. This is due to the fact that the coverage of most networks is limited only to North America. While the aggregator offers the only access to four services: Showtime, Starz, The Smithsonian Channel and Tastemade. In the future their number will increase, and they include cable network HBO, CBS and many others.

The release of Apple TV Channels, according to some reports, will take place this spring. However, because of the territorial limitations of cable networks and services that work with Apple TV Channels, service in the beginning will work not in all countries. It’s possible that Apple intends to conclude an agreement on the presence on its floor of the regional live streaming services depending on the country, which thus can increase your potential reach and gain new subscribers.

Updated: Also released the third beta of macOS 10.14.5 and watchOS 5.2.1.
