Apple Pay became available in several Russian banks

Apple expanded the number of partner banks that work with Apple Payin several countries, including in Russia. It is stated in the relevant section on the company website.

Most new banks appeared in the United States and China, also changes Italy, Spain and Canada. As for Russia, Apple Pay became available to holders of cards of two large banks — ICB (the”Credit Bank of Moscow”) and “the Ural Bank for reconstruction and development.” In the latter case, however, the service only works with debit and credit cards of Visa payment system.

Earlier it became known that Russia is in first place in the world for cashless payments using payment systems Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Android Pay. Therefore, it is logical to assume that in the future the number of banks-partners of the service in Russia will only grow.

October 4, 2016, payment service, Apple Pay officially launched in Russia. It is supported by all iPhone with a NFC chip that is SE iPhone, the iPhone 6 and older.
