App Arts & Culture from Google will allow you to appreciate the masterpieces of painting in AR

Google introduced an updated version of the Google Arts & Culture for access to images of works of world art. The update includes support for the ARKit framework, which provides the opportunity to enjoy the masterpieces of painting in the augmented reality mode.

To be able to study the images of the paintings in augmented reality, you must have a device running iOS not below the 11-th version and updated the Google Arts & Culture.

  • Launch the app on your device, click “Browse” and find the specific piece of art or select one of the available service.
  • Go to the page dedicated to the painting and click on the icon of the augmented reality underneath. The icon resembles a cube with three aimed towards the center of the inner lines.
  • Aim the lens on the floor and point the finger the place where it should be painting itself on the virtual stand and enjoy.

Why it’s cool

Reproductions of all the paintings in Arts & Culture, the highest level of detail. You can zoom gesture, pinch-to-zoom or physically move the camera to appreciate every brushstroke of the artist with whom you may share more than one hundred years.
